Resilience

Sooner or later, we all face periods of adversity in our personal and work lives. Being resilient means more than merely surviving the stresses of life; it is the ability to learn and grow in the face of adversity so that we can bounce back stronger than we were before. The good news is, resilience can be taught.

Our resilience mindset courses are not off-the-shelf packages. We observe and listen to your people, identifying strengths to build on and areas to improve. From there, we design and deliver a tailored course built specifically to increase the productivity and adaptability of your workforce.

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is now widely accepted as a necessary prerequisite to successful leadership, teamwork, and individual performance. Improving your emotional intelligence in the workplace requires more than a simple EQ test.

Our workshops increase self-awareness and provide practical tools and techniques which empower individuals to better self-regulate their emotions, leading to better decision-making, social skills, and more empathetic workplaces driven by intrinsic motivation.

Wellbeing & Self-care

It is important that we pay attention to our physical and mental health so we can manage our responses during stressful times. The value of stress relief and stress management techniques are well documented.

Through our workshops, staff can expect to become more in tune with their own wellbeing. We will teach self-care strategies designed to maintain positive wellbeing which leads to better decision making and a stronger sense of remaining in control.

Interpersonal skills

Let’s face it, the quality of your relationships is the single most important determiner of success for your team, your company and your own personal happiness. However, communicating with colleagues, clients and leaders isn’t always smooth sailing.

Through our tailored workshops, we will give you the people skills needed to problem-solve, collaborate, lead with empathy and navigate conflict with confidence.

Mental Health for Frontline Leaders

All Australian workplaces are legally required to provide psychologically safe working environments. To achieve this,  managers must identify and support employees experiencing poor mental health. But how?

Our Mental Health for Frontline Leaders sessions are dynamic and interactive workshops, where managers can get a clear understanding of what mental health really is, how to proactively manage real-world scenarios such as employees experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as where you stand legally.

Facing & Embracing change

It’s been said that the only constant in life is change. So, why does change create such anxiety for individuals and why do so many organisations fail in implementing change? Obviously, understanding this paradox is key to any successful change management program.

Allos’ strategic training builds psychological change readiness in staff, as well as the necessary soft skills for those leading the change; meaning your change management strategy can progress with minimal friction.

Leadership Development

The first responsibility of the leadership team is to ensure that the workforce functions at full capacity. It is vital that leaders have the skills needed to make this happen.

We will work with your organisation’s rising stars and current leaders; exploring leadership qualities, leadership styles and leadership theory. Our aim is to help you shape them into being effective, respected, and trusted leaders who will become valuable strategic assets for the organisation.

Mindfulness

Long gone are the days of mindfulness being a practice for hippies and monks. Elite athletes and world leaders tout the benefits of meditation as their secret weapon in maintaining focus, performing under pressure and overall happiness in life.

Allos has scoured Australia to find standout mindfulness practitioners who each bring a little something extra to the table. Whether it’s introductory guided meditations at your workplace, mindfulness-based stress reduction courses, or meditation retreats, Allos has you covered.

Yoga

The human body was not designed to sit in a chair for 8 hours a day and process a constant stream of information.  The consequence of our sedentary, information overloaded lives is seen in the epidemic of poor physical and mental health which is draining business productivity and creating a financial burden. Yoga is the perfect antidote for businesses looking for an accessible and low-risk way to bring better mental and physical health into their workforce.

Our instructors specialise in adapting their yoga poses to the nature of the work; from truck drivers to tax accountants – participants leave relieved of their aches and pains, recharged and recalibrated.

DISC assessment

DISC behavioural assessment has been a leading workplace psychometric test for decades; and for good reason; it has proven itself to be a valid, accurate and cost-effective method of promoting the benefits of diversity of thought and streamlining communication.

Extended DISC and the FinxS system takes it to the next level. Sophisticated data analysis tools allow us to cut and slice the data in hundreds of ways to provide you and your team customised reports focusing a wide range of role-specific

Grief and Loss

When a human being experiences loss it can be a lengthy process of recovery. As grief impacts our capacity to process a loss, our emotions can become unpredictable and debilitating.

Our workshops develop participants grief literacy as well as  explore the impacts of loss on the important aspects of our lives, work, relationships, confidence and self-esteem. Nothing can remove the pain of loss, however, with greater awareness we can navigate grief and loss more skillfully.

Compassion Fatigue

Compassion fatigue commonly affects people whose jobs require them to care for other people in traumatic situations e.g. nursing. Over time, the constant exposure to the suffering of others causes people to feel emotionally depleted and lacking in empathy, which, in turn, leads to burnout.

Allos employs innovative and cost-effective peer-to-peer strategies to build compassion-satisfaction amongst nurses, doctors, teachers, animal shelter workers, aged-care workers and those in bereavement services; leading to reduced burnout, and sustainable productivity.

Stress management

Stress is a natural part of life. In fact, some stress can be healthy for us and allows us to perform under pressure. However, when being stressed out becomes our normal day-to-day, mental and physical health suffers.

Through our stress management training, you will learn more than just ways to destress. We will investigate the biology of stress, learn how to identify the signs and symptoms, master your anxiety and proactively manage it, transforming stress into a tool that you can use to maximise your performance in all aspects of life.

Assertiveness Training

Leaders need to command with conviction, so being able to confidently and clearly express yourself without coming across as aggressive or as a bully is a vital workplace skill.

This training explores how and why our confidence and self-esteem may be impacted by life challenges. We will teach staff how to build self-assurance, courage and confidence to assertively tackle challenges, including the difference between assertive communication and aggressive communication.

Managing conflict

What is the cost of unresolved conflict on your organisation’s productivity? Conflict is an inevitable byproduct of human interaction, especially in the workplace with the added pressure of “performance monitoring”.

Why not identify and engage dispute resolution strategies before the conflict pervades organisational culture? We will assist you to develop conflict management skills through our thorough training in mediation and conflict resolution. Allow us to explore how conflict styles can increase or reduce the likelihood of workplace conflict in the workplace.
